Returns and warranty
If it is not right, we put it right.
Returning a bike
You have 30 days from delivery to return a bike at no cost, as long as it shows no evidence of use and comes back in the box it was shipped in.
If a return is damaged in transit because it was not packed properly, we may decline it or pass on the shipping cost, so please pack it as carefully as we did.
Your statutory right to cancel
Separately from the above, UK consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Our 30-day window is offered in addition to that right, not instead of it.
Nothing on this page affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
Exchanges
If you exchange for something more expensive, you pay the difference. If it is less expensive, we refund the difference to your original payment method.
Manufacturing defects
If a bike has a manufacturing defect, you can ask us to correct the defect or supply an equivalent bike without it.
Warranty: two years, or six on registration
Frames and forks carry a two-year warranty. That extends to six years in total when you register your bike with us, and applies to bikes sold from 1 March 2018.
Branded components other than the Swift frame and fork carry two years, as does paintwork.
The warranty covers the first owner of the bike, as named on the purchase invoice.
What the warranty does not cover
Wearing parts: bearings, seals, cables and housing, lubricants, chain, sprockets, chainrings, brake pads, tyres, bar tape and grips, derailleur hangers and similar.
Damage from improper use: insufficient maintenance, falls, jumps, overload or other excessive effort, changes to the paintwork, and components fitted or modified without our agreement.
Please tell us before you change a component during the warranty period, including something as simple as a different tyre size. Our road bikes leave the factory on 700x25 tyres, and an unreported change can invalidate the warranty.
If a frame or fork is replaced under warranty we will match the colour where we can, subject to availability. Assembly, shipping and any additional parts arising from a change of model are not covered.
